Hi, I'm Robert Wilson; I arrived in Australia from Glasgow in 1981 and have since become a well-known photographer on the Gold Coast. With more than 22 years experience, the photographs you can see here capture the essence of my talent and ability to look past the cosmetic, and right into the soul of a moment.

That's probably why I specialise in weddings – because, when you've been waiting for that day all your life, when you've put your entire heart into the planning, when you care about someone that much and when you look that good, you want to be able to hold that feeling in your hand forever. And let's face it, Aunt Hettie saying “cheese” with a box brownie… well, it's just not the same!

Not that I am multi-talented! In fact, if I'm not artistically directing one of more than 100 weddings a year, you'll find me at 30,000 feet capturing the surrealism of earth from the air, or lens deep in the painful crunch of a scrum or wearing out my shutter release in the heat of the formula one. Or, maybe just enveloped and inspired by the peaceful serenity of a river somewhere. The point is, that art is everywhere in everything – but it takes more than just skill to capture it well. If you want a memory to remain as poignant as the day you made it, you just want someone who can do more than take a picture. What you want is someone who will travel anywhere in Australia to meet your needs who will listen instead of talk, who will orchestrate the event from beginning to end, who can lend his talents to the mood required and who will not charge the earth for a product so unique you will wonder if it actually comes with sound effects!
